Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

- β**For Choline, we labeled all prenatals as meeting the FDA DV if they had enough Choline to supplement an average 319mg Choline diet, and hit the 550mg DV.
- β***Magnesium is an electrolyte with a high DV & is never found in prenatals at high quantities. We did not label any prenatals as being below DV.
- β****Calcium inhibits iron absorption. Since iron is rare in diet & deficiencies are common, most prenatals, including CareNatal, exclude calciumβ
Why do some prenatal vitamins
make us
sick?
1
Poor forms of iron
Poor forms of iron cause nausea & constipation within 1-2 hours. CareNatal uses Ferric Glycinate, a superior form of iron.
2
βHorse-pillsβ
A choking sensation when trying to swallow can trigger nausea and vomiting.
3
Fish Tastes
If youβve tasted a fish burp, you know how nauseating it can be. CareNatal uses microencapsulation to keep all of those fishy tastes sealed in tight.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Us
How did CareNatal get started? Who is the team behind it?
We love sharing about our story as a brand! You can learn more at our About Us page.
Prenatal Vitamin & Other Products
Is CareNatal lab tested and can I see the results?
Yes! This is our favorite question because we are so proud to be setting the new gold standard for safety and transparency for prenatal vitamins.
Each batch of our CareNatal prenatal vitamin not only goes through 33 rigorous independent lab tests, but we also share the testing results for our customers to see for themselves on our website!
If you have any further questions about our testing or our results, please email or text us. We would be more than happy to help, you can email us at hello@carenatal.com or text our team at (833) 330-0370.
What does CareNatal taste like? Are there new flavors coming out soon?
More than 80% of soon-to-be moms that have tried CareNatal describe the flavor as being very similar to a strawberry juice or a less sweet Strawberry Starburst from their childhood.
CareNatal is purposefully sweetened and flavored very lightly. This is done so you can customize your flavor profile to your liking. Mix your prenatal powder with juice, a smoothie, a sparkling water, or even add a shot of Mio flavor enhancer to build your perfect flavor profile!
Yes, we have a 2nd flavor launching this summer! We will be publicly announcing the flavor soon!
But pills are easier to take, why should I take CareNatal?
The primary reason our customers choose CareNatal instead of pills or gummies is because CareNatal packs a much more complete nutrition profile than prenatal vitamin pills or gummies.
On average, CareNatal contains 2.5x more nutrients than prenatal vitamin pills and 8x more nutrients than prenatal vitamin gummies, per serving (compared against the most popular retail brands).
Lastly, you can drink CareNatal as quickly or as slowly as you want! Some people like to chug while others prefer the benefit of being able to sip on it over the course of a casual afternoon.
What is the Omega Boost liquid dropper that comes with the CareNatal Prenatal Powder?
Omega-3s (DHA & EPA) are so important for supporting egg health during conception and baby's brain development during pregnancy and nursing. Yet 67% of prenatal vitamins do not have omega-3s, leading to 95% of childbearing-age and pregnant women in the US being deficient in omega-3s.
The Liquid Omega Boost that comes with the prenatal vitamin boost helps you get your daily DHA & EPA Omega-3s. It comes in a 30ml/1oz dropper bottle of vegan (algae-sourced) omega-3's. Our innovative Liquid Omega-3 drops help to alleviate the stress of swallowing "horse-pill" size omega-3 fish oil pills.
You can drink our Liquid Omega Boost by mixing it directly into your prenatal vitamin drink mix. Omega-3s naturally have a marine or "fishy" taste, so if you begin to detect that, try adding it in with another drink (orange juice is a crowd favorite) or add it to a food, to blend it discreetly into your meal.
What is the difference between the Omega Boost Powder and the Omega Boost liquid that comes with the prenatal vitamin?
They are both Omega-3 supplements with DHA & EPA to support you during conception, pregnancy, and postpartum.
The Liquid Omega Boost comes with the prenatal vitamin powder while the Powder Omega Boost is available separately.
Most people that opt for the Powder Omega Boost do it because they:
1. Prefer the powder format or the fact that it is unflavored. So they replace the Liquid Omega Boost with the Powder Omega Boost
2. Want to take both daily and get more daily Omega-3s
3. Want to alternate between the two Omega Boosts
Please note that the Powder Omega Boost is made from a fish source and has milk, soy, and a small amount of sugars. If you can not have any of these particular ingredients, consider the Liquid Omega Boost.
I forgot to refrigerate my Omega Boost Dropper? Is it still safe to use?
The Liquid Omega Boost is 100% shelf stable, however, we recommend refrigerating to delay natural oxidation or an unpleasant flavor from developing.
Please keep the liquid Omega Boost away from direct sunlight or intense heat exposure (do not leave it out on a porch or in a mailbox on a hot day, make sure to bring it inside as quickly as possible when delivered)
If you received the product and you didn't refrigerate it, but the product was not exposed to high amounts of heat, then the product is perfectly safe to consume.
When should I start taking the CareNatal prenatal?
General recommendations suggest to start taking a prenatal vitamin at least 4 months before you plan to get pregnant. The recommendation for when to start CareNatal would be no different. This extra few months gives your body the time it needs to slowly build up its stores of nutrients from your daily consumption of the prenatal vitamin. Then, continue taking our prenatal & postnatal vitamin thoughout your conception, pregnancy, and post-partum stages. Don't forget to keep taking CareNatal after you deliver, as CareNatal delivers key nutrients to support your post-partum recovery and your production of breastmilk.
Formulation
Is CareNatal Vegan, Gluten-free, Non-GMO, free of major allergens, halal, and sugar-free?
Yes! Our prenatal vitamin is vegan, vegetarian, halal, non-gmo, gluten-free, sugar-free, free of the 9 major FDA allergens, has no artificial colors, sweeteners, or flavors.
Also, if you would like to see our lab testing results, you can see them here.
Why is there no Calcium in CareNatal?
Calcium has the ability to inhibit the absorption of iron and iron is one of the most important nutrients in a prenatal vitamin. The CDC reports that 1 in 6 pregnancies will experience an iron-deficient anemia (which can lead to pregnancy complications and potentially multiple blood transfusions). However, on average, American women are consuming 886mg of calcium per day. Thus, it is apparent that a great modern prenatal vitamin formula needs to prioritize iron.
If you would still like to add on a calcium supplement, they are some of the most affordable supplements. You can even talk to your doctor about using common antacids like Tums as a source of calcium, as they have a significant amount of calcium per serving.
Is there enough Choline & Magnesium in the prenatal vitamin powder? Do I need to take more?
Choline:
An additional Choline supplement is not required with CareNatal. On average, pregnancy aged women in the US consume 319mg of choline per day. It is generally recommended that women consumer 450-550mg of choline per day in total, thus CareNatal was formulated with 250mg of Choline to help women hit their daily requirement. we labeled all prenatals as meeting the FDA DV if they had enough Choline to supplement an average 319mg Choline diet, and hit the 550mg DV.
Magnesium:
Magnesium is an electrolyte with a high daily value and rarely found in prenatals at high quantities. While it is not traditionally the role of a prenatal vitamin to deliver electrolytes, we do include 200mg (100mg of Magnesium & 100mg of Potassium). Magnesium is a nutrient being found to be more and more deficient in American diets, so we suggest speaking with your doctor about whether or not you need to incorporate additional supplementation.
Is CareNatal safe for people with the MTHFR gene?
Yes, CareNatal's Prenatal Vitamin Powder is formulated with 680mcg of one of the highest quality forms of Methylated Folate, (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate.
What type of Folate is used in CareNatal?
CareNatal innovatively includes both forms of Folate so that you get trusted science AND modern supportβtogether in one formula.
Folate (vitamin B9) is one of the most critical nutrients in early pregnancy, especially the first trimester, but it comes in two forms:
Methylated folate,
Folic acid
Methylated folate is form of folate that has more recently become available for multi-vitamin formulations, highly bioavailable, and great for those who absorb less Folic acid. Folic acid has decades of research showing it helps prevent neural tube defects.
It is important to note that both forms of Folate are 100% safe for moms & babies, including those with MTHFR gene variant.
What type of Vitamin A is used in CareNatal?
We chose a holistic path, when formulating CareNatal, prioritizing science and balance along the way. We included 650mcg of a retinol called retinyl palmitate and 650mcg of a carotenoid called beta carotene. This adds up to the total 1300mcg of Vitamin A on our label.
It is important to note that the FDA has stated that 3,000mcg+ of retinols/retinyls may lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes, which is why CareNatal is formulated at a very safe quantity, 80% below the upper limit set by the FDA.
So why did CareNatal include any retinyl palmitate? Well, retinols/retinyls are more easily absorbed by your body and are the form found in food like fish, eggs, and dairy. Also, retinols/retinyls are the form of Vitamin A that have been shown in the most studies to have a positive impact on developing a baby's eyes. On the other hand, Carotenoids are not as easy for your body to absorb so we did not feel like a Cartoneoid-only approach was a holistic approach to this nutrient. Every ingredient in our formula was studied in great detail, no decision was taken lightly.

Proper Use of the CareNatal Prenatal
MUST READ: The "Top 3 Tips & Tricks" for taking the CareNatal Prenatal
Shake, don't stir your prenatal. Drink it out of a bottle. This allows you to easily reshake the drink if you notice any contents settling, which can happen over time.
Start off with a 1/2 dose and slowly work your way up to a full dose over the course of a few days, to allow your body time to adjust to the complete nutrient profile.
Customize your flavor experience by mixing your prenatal in more than just water (orange juice is a customer favorite!). Try any other juices, smoothies, or even sparkling waters. CareNatal was made with very light flavor and sweetness to give you flexibility to blend its flavor with your preferred drinks!
Can I take this with other supplements?
While generally CareNatal's prenatal vitamin is safe with most supplements, please bring all of your supplements and medicines to your doctor and get their personalized medical advice if you have any questions about supplement/drug interaction.
I get nauseated easily, will CareNatal work for me?
Yes it will, especially for these 3 reasons:
CareNatal is very lightly flavored & sweetened to give you the flexibility to customize your prenatal drink. Mix it in your favorite juice or smoothie and give yourself a completely new drink and flavor profile everyday.
You can sip it slowly throughout the day or chug it, whatever works for best for you
And if you get nauseated easily, we highly recommend following our "ramp-up" protocol.
The CareNatal Suggested "Ramp-up" Protocol:
Start with approximately a half dose of the prenatal vitamin powder per day (leave out the Omega Boost at this stage)
Within a 5-10 days (or whenever you feel comfortable), begin to slowly ramp-up towards a full dose and incorporate the omega boost.
If you begin to feel nausea symptoms, immediately pull back on your daily dose until you find a dose that works for your body. The dose you land on may end up being less than a daily dose. That is a key benefit of CareNatal, you can manage your daily dose and take less per day if that is best for your body and managing any symptoms.
What drinks should I mix CareNatal with?
CareNatal can be mixed into almost any cold or room-temperature drink. Orange juice has become a favorite drink for our customers to mix their CareNatal prenatal powder in.
While some sort of a juice or electrolyte beverage is the most common for our customers, smoothies and sparkling waters are a fun way to introduce a little variety and new flavor.
We know pregnancy comes with all sorts of aversions, so the the CareNatal prenatal vitamin was specifically formualted with minimal flavor and sweetness to allow you the flexibility to customize your flavor profile by mixing it in with drinks you enjoy the taste of.
Lastly, we always recommend mixing and drinking your CareNatal drink out of a bottle. This allows you to shake your drink rather than stir it for a more cohesive blend and also allows you to easily give it a reshake if contents settle over time.

How do Subscriptions & "Out of Stock Protection" work?
Our subscriptions not only guarantee you discounts of up to 40%, but also offer you something different:
1. Out of Stock Protection: Due to high built-up demand, we expect CareNatal Prenatal Vitamin to sell out. To avoid running out of stock, subscriptions ensure that you get fresh prenatals delivered to your doorstep, guaranteed for the duration of your subscription.
2. Fresh Prenatals: Subscriptions offer you a way to get fresh prenatals delivered right to your doorstep, without having to hoard prenatals which take up space and can sometimes expire.
3. No annoying auto renewal: Our subscriptions only last for the duration you select, 6, 9, or 12 months. After that you can choose to extend your subscription, but these subscriptions will never auto renew.
Please note that all subscriptions come with deliveries every 3 months. Every 3 months you can expect 3 new prenatal cartons to arrive. These recurring shipments will continue through the duration of the subscription you selected.
Will I be able to cancel or pause my subscription easily?
Just like you, we hate subscriptions that are hard to cancel. It is a deceptive and manipulative practice. You can easily do the following on your own in the customer portal:
Cancel or pause your subscription.
Skip your next delivery or even gift it to a friend.
Change your shipping address, if you move or are traveling.
And of course if there is any confusion, please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions and we can make these changes on your behalf. Email us at hello@carenatal.com or text our team at (833) 330-0370.

This is great if you plan to move or want your prenatals delivered while you are on vacation
Are non-prepaid subscriptions (traditional recurring subscriptions) available?
No we do not have these available to the public yet, however, we do have these available in a private pilot program with a select group of customers.
If you would like to be invited to our private pilot program to get early access to traditional recurring subscriptions, please contact our support team and reference this FAQ.

Why don't you accept "Buy Now, Pay Later" payment methods like Affirm, Afterpay & Klarna?
The CareNatal team made a purposeful decision not to accept "Buy Now, Pay Later" services on our store. We understand that having a baby is a significant financial burden for new families. However, these "By Now, Pay Later" payment services partake in tactics that take advantage of many customers and this directly conflicts with our brand values.
